Health Care Reform
With the recent passage of President Obama's health insurance reform legislation, COSE will work to guide discussions in Washington, DC and Columbus in order to advance the needs of small business. As many of the new provisions will impact small businesses, COSE plans to continue working provide small businesses with information about the ways they will be affected and help them understand ways they can prepare best for the coming changes.
An initial step in the ongoing helping small businesses understand the long-term implications of the law, we have created a "Health Care Reform Gameplan" that is included in the May, 2010 COSE Update.

Going forward, the provisions in this legislation will be further developed through regulations and possibly additional legislation. COSE will continue to update this site based on new information that becomes available. Initially, we have created a timeline detailing when new programs will be implemented. In the coming weeks, we will continue to expand on the both the timeline and insurance regulation changesin order to keep you informed.
