The Young Arts Entrepreneur Award

 

Overview - The Young Arts Entrepreneur Award is given to a creative professional (a recent arts program graduate or early stage entrepreneur) that has taken steps toward establishing an Northeast Ohio–based arts business.

Judging will be based on the submission of an Executive Summary highlighting a mission statement, goals and objectives. Please limit submissions to 15 pages total. Find information on common practices when creating a business plan here or here .

Award - The winner will receive $1,000, a choice of an avenue of free business support (website development, marketing, business advising, accounting, or additional option), a free year of COSE Arts Network membership, an article in the COSE Update and an original piece of commissioned artwork.

Eligibility

 

• Age 26 or under

• Business is in the first three (3) years of operation

• Must be student or legal resident in NE Ohio (Cuyahoga, Medina, Lorain, Summit, Geauga, Ashtabula, Portage and Lake counties).

• Show a dedicated commitment to remaining in the Northeast Ohio area

• Winners of ABI Awards in the past three years are not eligible.

Application/Nomination Process - Applicants and nominees will be asked to fill out an online questionnaire for judging. The deadline for applications and nominations is Friday, March 4th 2011 at 5:00 PM.

To apply, fill out the application form and send copies of your Executive Summary highlighting a mission statement, goals and objectives in the form of e-mail attachment to mcharboneau@cose.org or mail a CD containing these elements to the following address:
