Please join us for a collaborative evening between Community Partnership for Arts and Culture (CPAC) and the COSE Arts Network. First up at 4:30 p.m. CPAC is hosting a Creative Compass launch party to celebrate you! Get out to the Waterloo Arts and Entertainment District, and meet up with representatives from local resources featured on MyCreativeCompass.org. Share your stories with other creative professionals and artist supporters. Then hear from Liz Maugans, printmaker and Executive Director of Zygote Press, and Michael Gill, writer and former Arts Editor at Cleveland Scene, who will be there to talk about their amazing stories as artists, collaborators and fans of local artists.
Then at 6:30 p.m., the COSE Arts Network will present an accounting and bookkeeping workshop. Joanne Montagner-Hull, from the Your Bean Counters CPA firm, will lead artists through a presentation highlighting best practices and how to use tools such as QuickBooks to manage your accounting as a working artist or arts small business owner. Complimentary refreshments and snacks will be provided all evening.
There will also be a raffle for several prizes, including a Kindle Fire!
For those few who are incredibly committed to rounding off a full night of arts and entertainment, walk up the street a few doors to the Beachland at 8:30 p.m. Dan Deacon will be in the Ballroom and Shovels & Rope are playing in the Tavern.
