Tech Week

 

NEOSA created the first annual Tech Week in 2011, a series of events supporting, promoting and engaging the regional IT industry.  Nearly 600 guests joined us for the Best of Tech Awards, our Future of IT Forum, data center tours, and a variety of seminars, events, webinars and more.

We're proud to announce Tech Week 2012, will be held April 16-20 at venues all around the CLE.

Our current schedule of events includes:

Monday April 16
Tech Pitch and Showcase, Society for Information Managers (SIM) hosts a unique event bringing together IT companies and IT executives.  We've selected ten (10) local tech companies to pitch to  IT execs.

Tuesday April 17
NEOSA Forum featuring IBM and Watson: we'll host IBM for a high-level discussion on the company's Watson project and what it means to small and large firms alike.  Joining us is Eric Brown IBM Research whose team was integral to this multi-year effort.  We'll also live stream this event to a variety of local universities

Wednesday April 18
Tech Indusrty Merge Briefing  Presented by Corum Group, this session will focus on valuations, trends in tech M&A and more, for companies looking to sell...anytime.  Learn more and register here.

Working In IT in Northeast Ohio:  Tri-C hosts a co-op student speed networking event, coupled with co-op workshops and industry networking.  Learn more here and register here.

LaunchHouse Showcase
Tech incubator LaunchHouse hosts a showcase event focused on portfolio companies and other tech companies from the region. Learn more here.

Thursday April 19
Linking Talent to I.T.
The Greater Cleveland Partnership hosts a career networking event for current tech students and local companies.  Students from the University of Akron, Kent State, Cleveland State, B-W, Tri-C, Lorain CCC and others will be on-hand to meet local tech companies.

NEOSA presents the 6th annual Best of Tech awards recognizing cool, local companies, great products, CIOs and their teams as well as winners of the 2012 CoolTech Challenge

University Engagement
Akron, Kent State, CSU, B-W, and others will host a variety of activities: hosted sessions with IT entrepreneurs/executives, live-streamed content, networking, student recruitment and more.

StartUp Weekend
Cleveland’s local chapter of this international organization will host its traditional weekend program to launch 2-3 new tech companies here in the CLE.  Details to come.

Virtual Tech Week
