A new study from Price Waterhouse Coopers, estimates the cost of premiums under the Baucus Plan at levels significantly higher than CBO. Even given its biases, it's worth better understanding what drives the differences.

Small business owners suffer from an affliction—they like to understand the details of the things that are going to have a significant impact on their business. As they work at developing goals and direction for their business or review budgets and initiatives with their teams (however small they may be), they like to be able to at least understand the assumptions and the data that underlie the goals they set.

While well intentioned, the multitude of details that must be attended to in order to enact wide scale reform are mind boggling – and as a result, the ensuing consequences of missing the implications of those details have huge intended and unintended impacts on the people of our country.
