Cleveland, OH – December 8, 2008 – The Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) and Birol Growth Consulting are partnering to offer the Business Growth Course, geared towards business owners, entrepreneurs and advisors who want to grow their companies in a more consistent, efficient manner despite the challenges of today’s local, national and global business environment.
During the four session series, Andy Birol, author and nationally recognized leader in the field of business growth, will help business owners identify real growth opportunities and match those opportunities to their “best and highest use,” one of Birol’s trademarked terms.
Business owners frustrated with the status quo and committed to truly investing in the growth of their company are encouraged to freshen up their strategic plans and refine their Best and Highest Use (BHU). According to Birol, BHU is the convergence of what an entrepreneur loves to do and does well, and what customers want, need and will pay to get.
Sessions are scheduled for February 6, March 6, April 3 and May 1 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The sessions will cover topics like: creating a snapshot of how your firm’s systems, structure, staff, processes and procedures currently deliver your firm’s BHU, identifying how to invest wisely in your sales funnel and analyzing your company's performance in the marketplace based upon your perceptions of former and existing clients and suppliers.
An additional four roundtable discussions are scheduled for June 5, August 21, September 11 and October 2 from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. Roundtable discussions will cover the following topics: doing business outside of Northeast Ohio, pricing to maximize margins and profits, selling your smarts beyond selling products or services and growing your business without finance.
A free preview of the course is scheduled for Friday, January 9 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the COSE Offices in downtown’s historic Higbee Building.
This course is limited to only 20 participants. All sessions will be held at the Shoreby Club, 40 Shoreby Drive in Bratenahl. The cost is $4,000 for COSE members and $6,500 for non-members.
