What was your “Ah Ha” moment that prompted the launch of your home business?
When my brother was willing to pay to have me put real estate in his IRA! If my brother was willing to pay for this and the banks were not lending money, this was going to make money!
Best thing you have done for your home business?
Public speaking! If you are speaking if front of people they do not look at you as a small business. They look at you as the expert.
What is something that is truly unique about how you run your business and care for clients?
My business is unique because the client takes control of his investments. If he wants to buy real estate with his IRA, OK. If he wants to start or buy a business with his IRA, OK let's do it! I just show the client how to invest in what he wants.
What is your secret to striking work/life balance?
My wife! She keeps me going and with kindness points out what I am not giving attention to.
What is your biggest challenge in running a home business?
Working without people around. The isolation at times during the day is little hard.
What advice would you have for those looking to start a home business?
Look for a service that needs to be filled, not just the thing you know how to do. Then figure it out and do it!
