How do you currently use social media? What are some of your successes?
I use a lot of social media – I use Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, HARO, momslikeme.com, mompreneurs.com (a google group), article submission websites, and the applications that make them easier. As for successes, there have been several. I became an expert author on Smallbiztrends.com by following Anita Campbell on Twitter; I had the opportunity to speak at a forum from being on Linkedin, I’ve met some incredible people through Linkedin and those connections have provided me with great opportunities. I found my radio show through one of the forums I’m on, and I became a contributing author to Chicken Soup for the Soul:Power Moms by using HARO (helpareporterout.com).

Do you have a twitter account? Yes

Do you blog? Yes, but not enough.

The great thing about social media is that it facilitates and sometimes accelerates the networking process. The key to social media is deciding what you hope to gain from using it and then develop a plan around that goal. There are a lot of different ways to use social media and like the steps of the sales process, not all are right for everyone.
