The words and images a company selects to brand itself are critical to its public image. However, in a crowded marketplace, advanced investigative work is needed to allay trademark disputes and future re-branding headaches. In addition, selecting unique, registrable marks may add considerable value to a company’s intellectual property portfolio. This presentation will provide an interactive overview of U.S. trademark law as well as tips on selecting strong marks and avoiding conflicts.
