We’ve Got Big Purchasing Power—And, We’re Not Afraid to Use It!

Let’s face it: The best deals go to the biggest customers. Large corporations use their high-volume advantage to demand better deals on just about everything, from office supplies to payroll services.

Wish you could throw your weight around like that?

With COSE, you can. For more than 30 years, we’ve used the strength of our numbers—more than 17,000 member companies—to help small businesses of any size save time and money.

Through our Preferred Partner network, you get better value, better rates, better service.

What is a Preferred Partner?

For select services or products that are in demand by members and are best offered through an exclusive arrangement, COSE will endorse a "Preferred Partner."

"We don't take that endorsement lightly. We want to ensure that our members receive a unique combination of better value, better rates and better service than they are able receive on their own, " says Nancy Pokorny, Vice President of Member Products.

A Preferred Partnership is not necessarily something that member companies "seek out." COSE uses member feedback and market demand to determine the types of products and services that might be appropriate to offer on an exclusive basis. COSE then contacts members regarding its desire to establish an exclusive relationship with the goal of offering a specific product or service that is highly unique in the marketplace.

Before we endorse a Preferred Partner, COSE staff experts work with member companies to conduct a thorough due diligence process. We do all the legwork so you can concentrate on running your business.

Here’s How it Works:

  1. Competitive analysis: Our staff conducts extensive research and evaluates each vendor for quality, price, service and financial stability.
  2. Request for proposals: We invite all qualified COSE members in the product/service category to make us an offer.
  3. Peer review: A task team of COSE member representatives (small business owners just like you) reviews the proposals and hears presentations from the vendors, then makes a recommendation to the COSE Board of Directors.
  4. Board approval: The COSE Board of Directors, made up of small business members, makes the final decision to endorse a Preferred Partner.
  5. Ongoing assessment: We continually review our Preferred Partner contracts to ensure they meet our standards for quality, price and service.
