Joe Roman talked with Bill Wills today on WTAM about his recent announcement of retirement and efforts to address racism and rebuilding during the pandemic.

The two also discussed a joint effort to declare racism as a public health crisis and action items that businesses and individuals can take. There are now more than 100 Cleveland organizations that have signed on to the pledge.

Bill and Joe also walked through a recent virtual conversation with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross and how difficult the pandemic has been for Cleveland, but how the manufacturing sector may provide new and unique opportunities.

The status of the projects currently underway in designated Opportunity Zones was also a topic of conversation this morning.
