How to Choose a Data Center

Petar Bojovic l BlueBridge Networks |

Not all data centers are created equal. This is an unfortunate lesson learned by many business owners. Before we get into that, let’s first discuss what is a Data Center and why it is important to your company’s success and longevity. A data center is a purpose built facility that houses your critical data. The size of your company does not matter, whether you are a business with one employee or a multi-national, worldwide organization – we ALL have critical data that must be accessible, secure and always available. However based on your needs and requirements for uptime, availability and security, that is where data center services can become complex.

Keep the Bad Guys Out of Your Network

Shawn Turner |

It might seem like data hacks are a given in today’s business environment. A 2014 study by the Ponemon Institute found that up to 432 million accounts had been hacked during a 12-month period leading up to the study’s release. Small businesses are especially vulnerable to hacking, according to Steve Giordano, the GM/owner of computer and IT services company TeamLogic IT. Small businesses are often thought of by hackers as being easy targets because the businesses tend to have the least amount of cyber defense in place.

Maximizing COSE Value for Tech

Brad Nellis |

A little over ten years ago, NEOSA (now known as OHTec) merged into COSE. This merger enabled local tech companies to take advantage of all of COSE’s services while also benefiting from focused programs for their industry.

Over the past year plus, COSE has been evaluating its membership program; the new structure was recently released and members are currently converting to the new plan.  The beauty of this restructuring is that it really puts members in control of engaging where they want to engage.  In control of getting the value THEY need from the organization.

Including tech companies!

The benefits of offsite cloud storage from solutions such as Microsoft’s OneDrive, are numerous, according to Fred Franks, Chief Information Officer at FIT Technologies.

This year, e2b teknologies made it to that finalist round, a much deserved accolade as they’ve made incredible traction with a core product: Anytime Collect. We spent a little time with the company to learn more about them, their products and their plans for the future.
